When we fled Ukraine, I worried endlessly about how my daughter would adjust. At Kindergarten Neue Welt, she found not just a school but a second home. The nature-based approach has given her peace and joy during such a turbulent time. She was able to embrace freely her Jewish values and strengthen her identity. This kindergarten has been a lifeline for our family.

Our son was very shy after all he experienced during the war, but the warmth of Kindergarten LCC changed him. The play-based learning has helped him make friends, and practicing the Jewish traditions has given him a sense of belonging we thought he might never regain. We’re forever grateful for this community.

Moving to Vienna was overwhelming, but finding a warm environment like Kindergarten Gan Sara was a blessing. We were worried that our daughter might find it difficult to adjust to the new country and the new language. But the Montessori approach at Gan Sara made our daughter grow confident every day. Our daughter loves learning in German, Hebrew, and English. The Kindergarten is perfect for her curious nature, and the kindness of the staff has eased her transition immensely. We are very grateful for the opportunity.

This past summer, Chabad Day Camp brought our children back to life. The learning, adventures, and cultural bonding created memories they’ll cherish forever. The camp’s dedication to Jewish values helped them reconnect with their heritage while making new friends.

As young parents displaced by war, finding a support system was crucial. Initiative Zawta not only provided us with educational resources for our teenage sons, but also gave us a social network to lean on. The sense of community has made a world of difference for us.
